When I was younger I liked to browse blogs wherein people would post their thoughts about recently aired anime and released manga chapters. Somewhere along the line however, I switched to being satisfied just reading through the comments on Reddit. While it did provide some form of discourse, I have begun to miss the longer essay type impressions offered by dedicated blog posts. In addition, Reddit posts are pretty time sensitive, with the disussion dying out after a day or two. While I’m not sure a blog will really address the second issue or manage to gather any discussion, I wanted a platform to reflect on and share what I have read. In addition writing is something I’ve been meaning to get into but have been lacking the motivation to get into. The idea is that my passion will encourage me to write, hopefully without me getting to rambly.

Consequently I will likely avoid doing episodic updates on this blog, instead only creating a post when an arc is completed, when I’ve recently binged a series, or when I really have something to write about. That’s not to say I don’t want to talk about single chapters/ episodes, I’d be really excited if you messaged me to discuss it; I’ll be leaving my details in the About/ Links section of the blog. First impressions on new series however are fair game as I’ve always loved that kind of content. I might write a dedicated post for the series if I’ve been following the source or combine multiple series into a single post if I haven’t much to say. Having been into anime and manga for over 13 years, I might also do posts on some older stuff I’ve consumed if I feel like it.
